Last year I visited ENT for my ear check up, as I regularly play drums in our church and exposed to high volume of sounds. It took me almost two hours of different hearing tests and they even used various gadgets in order to ensure that both ears were fine. I answered several questions too while during the test, amazingly with the use of their highly sophisticated hearing test machines they were able to find out that there’s something wrong with my left ear.
So I can’t deny, I have to admit and not to pretend that my left ear was okay. No medicine was prescribed but instead the doctor gave me on a separate print out the list of Harmful drugs on Hearing. See below: (I scanned the actual document in order to avoid typo errors)
For drummers/musicians out there I highly suggest to have a regular check-up for your ears and don’t forget to use protective ear device while during your sessions or gigs. Isolation headphones reduces the sound volume. Let’s follow our physician’s advices ;-)
Save your ears.
These non-electronic isolation headphones were developed to protect musicians' hearing. They drastically reduce the levels of external sound reaching a musician's ears, offering valuable protection from potential damage.
