How to Transfer Current Kuwait Dependent Visa from Old to Newly Issued (Philippine) Passport

Being an expat is not easy abiding to all the rules set by the country you reside.  Make sure that you follow, do not neglect and never violate especially when it comes to visa or residency issues.

There is a rule that the passport must be renewed six months prior its expiration date, if it gets over, then there is a probability that the visa may not be renewed or may even affect your travel as well.

If the issued passport is nearly expiring on which the current Kuwait residency is stamped on the passport, then it must be renewed at the earliest.  Once you receive the newly issued passport after renewal then the valid stamped residency must be transferred on the new passport.

What do we need?

- Passport copies of both old and new passport (data page & visa).
- Civil ID copy of dependent (wife & child) and sponsor (father or mother, in some cases).
- Two photographs - blue b/g
- Accomplished forms

Then proceed to your respective immigration office according to the address stated on the Civil ID.

That is the Mobile Passport Service program of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). With this program, the DFA will  go to various local government units/government agencies all over the Philippines to make passport application easier for people who are living in far provinces or for anyone who finds it difficult to go to the DFA main office to obtain a passport.

The DFA recently posted on its official website , the schedule of the mobile passport services from May to June of this year. Check out the schedules and important notes below:

Kuwait Embassy – Philippines | 2nd Part – more details!

I noticed visitors kept coming back about my previous post on Kuwait Embassy in Philippines.  In this little way, I hope it’s a big help to those who are looking for the new address & location of Kuwait Embassy in Philippines.

I remember we had a hard time locating the embassy after they moved out from their old address in Makati and it was even more harder (our vacation was somehow spoiled) when I came to know that Aboitiz is no longer handling the courier of the documents to the Embassy of Kuwait-Manila. Grrr!!! Heheheh :-)

Welcome To My World – Nikon D90

Views differ on school fee hike

In the midst of the global economic slowdown, there are a number of private schools in Kuwait who still seek to impose a tuition fee hike for the upcoming academic year. However, some parents may be relieved because some schools are not considering any increases at all. A ministerial decree on March 28, 2008, signed by Education Minister Nouriya Al-Sabeeh, allows private schools in Kuwait to increase tuition fees by up to five percent annually.

We do have the memorandum received from the school administration imposing a five percent increase in the next school year. It was approved by the Ministry of Education. The memo is with us now and is being imposed as registration begins," said a anonymous principal.
