The
Philippine Embassy in Kuwait wishes to inform the Filipino community in
Kuwait, especially those who are not yet registered as overseas voters
(OVs), that the Department of Foreign Affairs Overseas Voting
Secretariat (DFA-OVS) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) have
launched the iRehistro System on May 08.
Being an expat is not easy abiding to all the rules set by the country you reside. Make sure that you follow, do not neglect and never violate especially when it comes to visa or residency issues.
There is a rule that the passport must be renewed six months prior its expiration date, if it gets over, then there is a probability that the visa may not be renewed or may even affect your travel as well.
If the issued passport is nearly expiring on which the current Kuwait residency is stamped on the passport, then it must be renewed at the earliest. Once you receive the newly issued passport after renewal then the valid stamped residency must be transferred on the new passport.
What do we need?
- Passport copies of both old and new passport (data page & visa).
- Civil ID copy of dependent (wife & child) and sponsor (father or mother, in some cases).
- Two photographs - blue b/g
- Accomplished forms
Then proceed to your respective immigration office according to the address stated on the Civil ID.
